Real-world deployment and IEEE recognition highlight robot control as a foundation for scaling embodied AI

-- Thirty high-performance, multi-form data-collection robots are being deployed at the Yibin Humanoid Intelligent Robot Training Center in Yibin, China, bringing SEER Robotics’ “Robot Brain” technology into a multi-robot embodied AI training environment. Some units have already been delivered to the facility, supporting multimodal and multi-condition data collection.

According to publicly available information, the training center project includes 30 high-performance, multi-form data-collection robot platforms and supporting teleoperation equipment. The center is being developed around data collection, model training, skill training, scenario applications and data transactions, providing infrastructure for robot training optimization, real-world applications and broader embodied AI development. The robots are supplied by LingYu Robotics.

Unlike single-robot testing, multi-robot training environments must accommodate different robotic forms, hardware configurations and operating conditions. SEER Robotics’ “Robot Brain” provides a control layer between robotic hardware and higher-level applications, connecting hardware, sensors and actuators while supporting the development, integration and deployment of different robotic systems. The robot controller technology behind the “Robot Brain” received the 2026 IEEE Robotics and Automation Product Innovation Award, making SEER Robotics the first Chinese robotics company to receive the honor.

The technology is backed by more than a decade of development in robot control. Since 2015, SEER Robotics has developed robot controllers and related software systems integrating different LiDARs, motor drives, battery communication protocols and industrial interfaces into a common control architecture. By the end of 2025, more than 50,000 core robot controllers had been deployed across more than 2,100 companies, with SEER Robotics ranking first globally in intelligent robot controller shipments for three consecutive years, according to China Insights Consultancy (CIC).

As embodied AI moves from individual-system validation toward multi-robot training and larger-scale deployment, competition is increasingly extending beyond individual robots and AI models to the underlying control and systems infrastructure. Standardized and reusable robot control technologies could therefore become an important layer of the infrastructure required to scale embodied AI across different robot platforms and application environments.
