Darrell Moon has a background in healthcare innovation. He is dedicated to helping people improve their relationship with healthcare. He was a hospital CEO of 10 different hospitals, and that experience enabled him to recognize the inefficiencies of the U.S. healthcare system. He set out to develop solutions. Inspired by the Nuka System of Care, Darrell founded Orriant and Aspirational Healthcare, helping companies adopt strategies that enhance employee health and satisfaction while reducing organizational costs. When asked about why he wrote the book, Moon shared this about his background: “My success as a hospital administrator was measured not in the health outcomes of the hospital patients, but by the number of beds I was able to keep full to bring in more money for the hospital. It was the ethical problem this posed that eventually drove me to leave that career path and seek an alternative way to provide better, less expensive healthcare.”
