“Voice of the Earth” Selected for the Impact DOCS Awards 2026

Sedona, AZ —

Voice of the Earth, the debut feature film by international recording artist  and filmmaker Heather Schmid, has been officially selected for the Impact  DOCS Awards, a prestigious Sedona-based competition honoring  documentaries that inspire global change and meaningful social impact.

Filmed amid the volcanic landscapes of the Azores, Voice of the  Earth follows Heather’s unexpected awakening as a simple creative  pilgrimage to compose music with the land transforms into a profound  conversation with the Earth herself. Guided by scientists, healers, and the  emerging field of sound medicine, the film explores the rise of the feminine,  Gaia’s message for humanity, and the healing power of vibration.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Impact DOCS Awards,”  said Schmid. “This film was created in complete surrender — led by spirit,  guided by the Earth, and shaped by a message greater than myself. My  hope is that Voice of the Earth awakens audiences to listen more deeply to  our planet and to the feminine wisdom rising within us all.”

The Impact DOCS Awards celebrate films that move hearts, shift  consciousness, and encourage audiences to create a better world —  values that align directly with the film’s mission. Voice of the Earth will  continue its festival run through 2026, including upcoming screenings at  additional environmental, spiritual, and consciousness-focused festivals.
