Texas State Board of Education Approves Carnegie Learning’s MATHia® + MATHstream Solution

The company’s 6-12 supplemental math solution is IMRA-approved

Carnegie Learning, a global leader in AI-driven technology, curriculum, and professional learning solutions for K-12 education, announced today that its MATHia + MATHstream Supplemental Solution for Texas has been approved through the Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process.

The MATHia + MATHstream Supplemental Solution for Texas provides a comprehensive learning experience that combines AI-powered personalization with engaging video instruction. At its core, MATHia uses artificial intelligence and cognitive science to mirror a human tutor, providing 1:1 personalized learning with just-in-time feedback and contextual hints that adapt skill-by-skill to meet students exactly where they are. This proven effectiveness—validated by an Emerald study—is enhanced through MATHstream's interactive video streaming, where high-profile math influencers deliver dynamic video instruction paired with real-time questions and prompts in a game-based environment. Together, this integrated solution provides Texas 6-12 educators with powerful tools to support every student's unique learning journey, while also offering teachers detailed progress reports and actionable next steps.

The IMRA process provides a streamlined, State Board of Education (SBOE)-governed review of instructional materials. Each program is evaluated for Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) alignment, accuracy, quality, and key classroom-ready features, ensuring Texas educators receive resources they can trust.

"We’re thrilled that the Texas Supplemental Math Solution has been approved through the IMRA process,” said Amy Jones Lewis, Chief Mathematics Officer at Carnegie Learning. “AI-driven tools like MATHia and MATHstream provide Texas educators and students with targeted support that deepens understanding and builds real confidence. It’s exciting to see Texas continue to invest in high-quality resources that help students thrive in mathematics.”
