Suffolk Chairman and CEO John Fish delivered the keynote address at BuiltWorlds Venture East, during which he underscored Suffolk’s mission to redefine how America builds through construction, innovation and investment.

BuiltWorlds convenes venture fund managers, corporate leaders, strategic investors, and founders exploring trends in planning and design, construction technology, materials, robotics, logistics and operations, offering a comprehensive view of the startup ecosystem and forces shaping the industry.

In his keynote, Mr. Fish outlined Suffolk’s vision for an integrated approach to construction, which is to combine design, preconstruction, procurement, off-site manufacturing, scheduling, self-perform construction, sustainability and commissioning, property management, and global partnerships into a single, streamlined process managed by one Master Design Builder. This approach, supported by advanced technology, AI and machine learning, forms the foundation of Suffolk’s Seamless Platform of services.

Mr. Fish also highlighted the company’s $50 million investment to advance Suffolk’s AI strategy, including the hiring of full-time AI specialists, soon-to-be-launched “Jobsites of the Future,” and the development of a 20,000-square-foot AI Center adjacent to Suffolk headquarters in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

“Our industry is undergoing the most significant transformation in its history,” said Mr. Fish. “Suffolk is committed to leading this change by investing in the technologies and AI tools, people, partnerships and processes that will make construction smarter, safer, more efficient and more sustainable.”

Mr. Fish’s keynote underscored Suffolk’s mission to redefine how America builds through construction, innovation and investment. His speech followed Suffolk Technologies’ sixth annual BOOST Demo Day, where construction-technology startups showcased their innovations in AI, robotics, software and sustainable solutions. Demo Day, the culmination of the BOOST accelerator program, provides tech startup founders the opportunity to pitch to investors, industry leaders and influencers while networking during a post-event reception.
