Cloud Veterans Expands Eligibility to Active-Duty Military Transitioning Within 12 Months

via ACCESS Newswire

Early access to cloud certification, career training, and job placement for service members preparing to exit the military.

MIAMI, FLORIDA / ACCESS Newswire / January 20, 2026 / Cloud Veterans, the nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans transition into high-paying cloud computing roles, announced a major expansion of its eligibility criteria. Effective immediately, the program will accept active-duty military members within 12 months of separation-providing early access to cloud certification training, career preparation, and job placement support before their military service ends.

This marks one of the most significant updates in the organization's mission to bridge the gap between military service and civilian employment in the technology sector.

The program offers fully funded cloud certifications, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with career services such as resume rebuilding, mock interviews, mentorship, and access to an alumni network that continues supporting graduates for life.

"This change allows service members to prepare for their next mission before they hang up the uniform." - Gregory Scott Henson, Executive Director, Cloud Veterans

"Our goal has always been to eliminate the guesswork and financial barriers around transitioning into tech," said Gregory Scott Henson, Executive Director of Cloud Veterans. "By allowing active-duty members to join up to a year before separation, we're giving them the time and support they need to prepare for their next mission before they hang up the uniform. The sooner they start, the sooner they can secure meaningful employment in cloud computing."

"I wish a program like this existed when I was preparing to leave the Army." - Philip Lukaszonas, Volunteer & U.S. Army Veteran

"As a veteran myself, I wish a program like this existed when I was preparing to leave the Army," said Philip Lukaszonas, a Cloud Veterans volunteer and U.S. Army Veteran. "Transitioning out can be overwhelming, and knowing there's a pathway into one of the most in-demand fields in tech-before you even leave the service-can be life-changing. This expansion will impact thousands of service members and their families."

Meeting a Growing National Need

Cloud computing remains one of the fastest-growing and highest-paying sectors in the United States, with salaries often exceeding $100,000 for certified professionals. Many transitioning service members struggle to navigate the civilian job market without certifications, mentorship, and industry connections.

Cloud Veterans solves that issue by offering:

Up to three fully funded cloud certifications

Daily training structure to ensure successful progress

Resume and LinkedIn optimization

Mock interviews and job placement assistance

Lifetime access to the Cloud Veterans community

The new policy enables active-duty members to complete training while still receiving military pay and benefits, reducing financial pressure during transition.
