UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / November 18, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who, the trusted biographical authority chronicling accomplished professionals since 1899, is proud to announce that William J. "Will" Lyons IV, founder of Company 4, has been interviewed and honored for his entrepreneurial leadership spanning brand strategy, media partnerships and new-venture development. Mr. Lyons' feature traces a career rooted in team-first discipline, curiosity and a hands-on approach to building companies and communities.

Mr. Lyons' path began with a family ethos that fused enterprise and education: a father who modeled self-made business success and a mother-an educator-who taught him to act with purpose. "‘When you're doing something, you do it for a reason. You do it to the best of your ability,'" he recalls, crediting that standard his mom set for shaping how he leads clients and teams today. He also cites basketball as a lifelong classroom for communication and cohesion: "You have to be rowing in the same direction… Lack of communication seems to always lead to failure."
A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Lyons designed a custom major in management and consumer behavior-a one-of-a-kind program he created to blend market psychology with business execution. He later applied that lens at a Boston sports-marketing agency, then moved to California to help early-stage teams raise funding, roll out brands and products and connect with the right audiences. "I walk in the room and pretend like I'm the dumbest person there… I'm just taking it all in, asking questions and then coming back with a really in-depth and concrete plan," he says of his discovery-first approach.
Mr. Lyons' operating experience spans both startup and enterprise. He co-founded 15 Things, consulted across Los Angeles and ran marketing for Harbor Freight Tools before joining Samsung Mobile in a North America role focused on content, services and media/business development. The shift, he notes, offered a valuable "big-fish" perspective after years of startup work. He later served as managing partner for VCT - Member Experience Advisors in Boston and Los Angeles, sharpening his expertise in member engagement and growth.
In 2017, Mr. Lyons founded Company 4 to consolidate his skill set-marketing strategy, partnerships, business development and fundraising-under one banner. The firm assists startups and established brands as they reposition or launch new offerings, typically engaging four to five projects at a time to ensure responsiveness and depth. The model emphasizes problem identification, as-needed hiring for specialist needs and scalable teams that avoid large-agency overhead-keeping costs at a reasonable rate while building durable capabilities inside client organizations.
Mr. Lyons measures success by the lift he creates for others. He is the founder and operations director of the National Hoops Academy, a program running camps and clinics across the U.S. to help high-school athletes hone skills and earn collegiate opportunities. He also helped his wife launch Old Soul Vintage Jewelry, applying the same brand-building rigor to an independent venture that continues to grow. "Always growing, always looking at different markets and opportunities… not afraid to learn," he says. This is his outlook that informs work ranging from vitamin-brand partnerships to legacy-brand relaunches.
In his Marquis Who's Who interview, Mr. Lyons highlighted new developments on the horizon, including his partial ownership of a festival site outside of Boston aimed at bringing community events and brand experiences to the region. The project reflects his belief that effective marketing is as much about place-making and participation as it is about messaging-meeting people where they are and giving them something memorable to share. It will likely be called The Yard in Charlestown based on its location.
Mentorship and service also run through Mr. Lyons' story. He credits coaches from The Loomis Chaffee School and WPI as formative guides and remains active as a volunteer with a basketball academy and charter school, as well as a supporter of the WPI Athletics Fund and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Looking ahead five to 10 years, Mr. Lyons plans to grow Company 4 with the "right people," explore residual-income opportunities and make the brand a household name in the Northeast and California-all while preserving the quality-of-life balance that enables sustained creativity. He describes himself as an "over-communicator," preferring complete and open communication lines among teams, clients, and partners-an approach that builds trust and keeps fast-moving projects aligned.
"Will Lyons exemplifies the entrepreneurial leadership Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," said the Marquis Who's Who editorial team. "From early-stage rollouts to enterprise partnerships and community programs, his work blends humility, hustle and high standards-delivering results that last."
