The nonprofit is changing its name to better represent their growth as they continue to expand access to patient-centered care on the South Shore
NORWELL, MA / ACCESS Newswire / November 13, 2025 / NVNA and Hospice is rebranding as Croí Health starting December 1st. The non-profit home health care and hospice agency, founded in 1920, will remain independent and maintain the same award-winning care team, changing only its name. "Croí" draws inspiration from the Gaelic word meaning "heart" which embodies their unmatched empathy and unwavering support for patients and families. This move better reflects the nonprofit's identity and the future of the organization.
NVNA and Hospice has celebrated several major highlights this century, from expanding their service area to 27 towns, to adding hospice services in 2008, to instituting a robust palliative care program. Then in 2013, NVNA and Hospice opened the Pat Roche Hospice Home, the first nonprofit, independent hospice home in the region. As they experience a rapid growth trajectory, rebranding as Croí Health is just their next major milestone.
"As our services evolve, so too must our identity," said Renee McInnes, CEO. "Our new name represents both our legacy and our future. While our services have grown, our mission has never wavered: providing compassionate, expert care for our community. Croí, meaning "heart," perfectly captures the spirit of how we serve by leading with heart in every interaction and every home we enter."
Established as a leading provider of healthcare services for the region, the nonprofit has earned a reputation of clinical excellence reflected in five-star ratings in patient experience, quality of care and hospice caregiver from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Croí Health will continue the mission to expand access to patient-centered care, as funded by the generosity of the community.
